Installing 2005-2008 Mustang Turn Signals
Tools/Parts Needed:
1. The first step is to make sure your vehicle is parked on a level service with the parking brake engaged. Turn your steering wheel at full lock to the side opposite the one you are installing the lens on. (If you are installing the lens on the driver's side, turn the wheel all the way over to the passenger side) This will give you enough room to work with. You can use the phillips screwdriver to remove the screws on inner fender lining to give you access to the lenses. Also, it is not necessary to lift the car but it will make the process of getting access to the lens and having enough working room much easier.
2. Once you have access to the rear of the lens, you will need to remove the bulbs in the stock lens housing. There are two separate bulbs in each lens. (3157 and 194 bulb signified by red arrows in the picture below)Remove the bulbs by simply grasping the base firmly and turning counter-clockwise. They should come out with minimal effort.

3. After you've removed the bulbs from the rear of the lens, you will see two white prongs which are holding the lens in place. (see red arrows in the picture below) What you want to do is squeeze these white prongs with your plyers/channel locks while you gently press on the front of the lens. This will release the lens from the housing. This process will be easier if you have another set of hands to push the lens while you are releasing the prongs.

4. Now, after you've removed the stock lens, you simply need to re-install the bulbs in your new lens and reverse the process from step three.

A popular upgrade to go with your new lenses are our 3157 Chrome/Amber Bulbs and 194 Chrome/Amber Bulbs. These bulbs help you take advantage of your new clear/smoked look by removing the stock amber bulb and replacing it with a bulb that still glows amber when activated, but appears almost invisible when off. Brembo Brakes now at StangMods
Brembo offers a comprehensive line of brake components and systems ranging from direct O.E. replacement parts to high performance upgrades and complete racing systems. Each component and system is developed using Brembo’s innovative technology, experience and QS- and ISO-certified quality standards. Upgrade your Mustang's brakes with only the best in the business. Brembo is an OE supplier for Ferrari, Lamborghini, Ford, & Subaru.
It doesn't matter how fast your Stang is if you can't bring it to a stop in a relatively short distance. Upgrading your brakes will not only add functionality, but you'll also add style and class. You can upgrade your front rotors to a cross drilled or slotted style and still retain the use of your stock calipers, lines, and even pads.
Cross Drilled Rotors:
Brembo Sport drilled brake rotors undergo the race-born practice of cross drilling to provide multiple paths to disperse built-up heat and gasses.
Slotted Rotors:
Brembo Sport slotted brake rotors undergo race-born practice of machining multiple shallow slots into the disc’s front and rear surfaces to provide paths to disperse built-up heat and gasses, and assist in refreshing the surface of the brake pads.
So, whether your looking for an upgraded look or extra stopping power on the street, a set of Brembo brakes is an excellent upgrade!
StangMods has slotted and cross drilled Brembo rotors starting at $179 shipped for the pair. With the ability to re-use your stock calipers, lines, and pads, we make it relatively inexpensive to upgrade your Mustang with a set of cross drilled or slotted rotors.

Why HID Lighting for your Mustang?
Question: Will HIDs melt my headlamps or wiring?
Answer: ABSOLUTELY NOT! You see, your stock Mustang headlight bulb consumes 55 watts of power when on. Our HID bulbs consume only 35 watts of power. The truth is, HIDs consume 20 less watts to operate than a halogen bulb. This means, your HID kit will consume LESS power and produce LESS heat than your stock bulbs. In addition, StangMods.com would never sell a product that would be detrimental to your vehicle's functioning. We stand behind all of our products 100%!
Question: What does 4300K, 6000K, 8000K, 10000K, 12000K mean?
Answer: These numbers are used to distinguish between the different color temperatures of each kit. When we say temperature, we are not referring to hot or cold. Instead, we are referring to the color and amount of light that is emitted. As a general rule of thumb, the LOWER the kelvin temperature, the BRIGHTER the light output will be. Thus, a 4300K HID Kit will produce more light than a 12000K HID kit. In addition, some think that the higher kelvin temperature, the more heat that is produced. This is simply untrue. Each kit operates at only 35 watts! Your stock halogen bulb uses 55 watts!
Question: What is the difference between the 4300K, 6000K, 8000K, 10000K, and 12000K HID Kit. Which one is brighter?
Answer: The only noticeable difference between each kit is the color of light that they produce. Technically, the 4300K produces more light than the 12000K, but the difference is very not noticeable. In deciding which HID kit to get, you should choose a kit that produces the color of your liking. Below is a side by side comparison of the color produced by each kit.

Mustang HID Kit...Where to Mount Your Ballasts
Driver Side
On the drivers side, when you remove the headlamp, you will see decent side hole in which you can pass all the HID wires through and tuck your ballast behind. Please see the picture below for reference.
As you can see, our ballast is tucked in between the headlamp post and battery. We recommend to first install your new HID bulb, then plug in the connections to the ballast, and finally , slide the ballast into place. Please note, there is more than enough space for two ballasts to be tucked in behind this hole. Those of you with HID Foglight kits, you can also tuck the ballast from that kit in behind the headlamp and run the wires down to your foglamp.
Passenger Side
Mounting the ballast on the passenger side is as simple as making all of your connections to the HID bulb and then simply using double sided tape to secure the ballast to the fenderwall as shown in the picture below.
Notice, we are running a JLT True Ram air on our 04 Mach 1. Even if you have the stock induction set up, you will still have plenty of space on the fenderwall to install the ballast. The wires will be long enough to reach the HID bulb.
With the examples outlined above, mounting your ballasts in this manner will help keep them away from water and any moving engine parts. The ballasts are for the most part water resistant and will not be harmed if exposed to small amounts of water.

Mach 1 Grille Delete...The differences between the two.
Two Piece Grille Delete:
This kit includes the running pony emblem and the lower plastic "U" shaped section. The two piece kit is shown directly below.
Three Piece Grille Delete:
This kit includes the running pony emblem, lower plastic "U" shaped section, and the upper-center grille section. The three piece kit is shown directly below.
Differences:
As you can see from the pictures above, the only difference between the grille deletes is that the three piece kit includes the upper-center grille section.
Differences In Installation:
There are absolutely no differences in installation between the two kits. Installation is very simple, the hardest part being removing your stock grille.
Differences in Looks:
It is hard to distinguish between the two piece and three piece grille delete when the hood of your Mustang is closed. The upper center grille section in the three piece kit is primarily visible only when the hood is opened. It more or less gives the grille area a cleaner appearance when the hood is popped.
Whick Kit to Purchase:
We recommend going for the two piece kit if you are on a budget. The three piece kit is approximately $40 more. If you show your car and want to maintain a cleaner look, we suggest spending the extra money and going for the three piece kit. Otherwise, the two piece kit gets the job done very well while saving you $40.
As always, enjoy your Stang and be safe out there!
Sincerely,
The StangMods Team
