How To: Making your foglights stay on when turning your high beams on in your 94-04 V8 Mustang.

On all 94-04 GT & Cobra Mustangs, when the high beams are activated, the foglights immediately turn off. This is a function implemented from the factory. With the introduction of our Bi-Xenon HID Headlight Kit and HID Foglight Kit for 94-04 Mustangs, we wanted our customers to be able to run the HID high beam while having their HID foglights stay on. Outlined below are the steps necessary to have your foglights stay on when your high beams are activated in any 94-04 Mustang.

Materials Needed:
  • 16 gauge wire approximately 2.5” in length ($4.24 for a 12’ roll)
  • Two male spade connectors ($3.14 for a pack of 4)
  • Electrical Tape ($2.09 for a roll)
  • Wire Strippers
  • Needle Nose Pliers

  • Preparing Jumper (fake relay):
  • Take your 16 gauge wire and strip off approximately ½” of the plastic sheathing on both ends.
  • Crimp the two male spade connectors at each end of your 16 gauge wire with your pliers. Wrap any exposed wire with black electrical tape.
  • This completes the fabrication of your jumper.

  • Step 1:
  • Open the cover on the fuse box located underneath the hood and remove the relay using needle nose pliers.

    Step 2:
  • Once the relay is removed, you will notice five different open slots. The male connectors at each end of your jumper must be inserted in the two outermost slots.

    Step 3:
  • Insert your jumper (fake relay) in the two outermost slots.

    Step 4:
  • Finally, finish your installation by closing the cover on the fuse box. You are now done!

  • You should now be able to turn your high beams without having the foglights cut off.

Mach 1 Grille Delete...The differences between the two.

After numerous emails and calls from customers wondering what the differences were between the two and three piece grille delete, we decided to create a little review on the two grille deletes. Enjoy!

StangMods.com offers a two-piece and three-piece Mach 1 Grille Delete for your 99-04 GT or V6. There is only one slight difference between the two kits. Both kits use OEM Ford parts for excellent fitment and looks. Read on below for more information on the Mach 1 Grille Deletes we offer.

    Two Piece Grille Delete:
This kit includes the running pony emblem and the lower plastic "U" shaped section. The two piece kit is shown directly below.

    Three Piece Grille Delete:
This kit includes the running pony emblem, lower plastic "U" shaped section, and the upper-center grille section. The three piece kit is shown directly below.

    Differences:
As you can see from the pictures above, the only difference between the grille deletes is that the three piece kit includes the upper-center grille section.

    Differences In Installation:
There are absolutely no differences in installation between the two kits. Installation is very simple, the hardest part being removing your stock grille.

    Differences in Looks:
It is hard to distinguish between the two piece and three piece grille delete when the hood of your Mustang is closed. The upper center grille section in the three piece kit is primarily visible only when the hood is opened. It more or less gives the grille area a cleaner appearance when the hood is popped.

    Whick Kit to Purchase:
We recommend going for the two piece kit if you are on a budget. The three piece kit is approximately $40 more. If you show your car and want to maintain a cleaner look, we suggest spending the extra money and going for the three piece kit. Otherwise, the two piece kit gets the job done very well while saving you $40.

As always, enjoy your Stang and be safe out there!

    Sincerely,
    The StangMods Team

Mustang Tail Light Tint Installation Instructions

We decided to put together a little how to on the installation of our vinyl tail light tints. While the process is very simple, the instructions below should help anyone with addtional questions about the install process. Here it goes...

    Materials Needed
Spray bottle with warm water and three drops of liquid soap.
Squeege for installation (included with tints)
    Paper Towels

    Step One:
Thoroughly clean the surface of the lens in which you are applying the tint to.

    Step Two:
Peel off backing from tint as shown below. (avoid from touching any foreign surfaces)

    Step Three:
Generously spray soapy solution onto the adhesive side of the tint film and the lens you are working on.

    Step Four:
Align tint and apply by using squeege to smooth the film over the lens you are working on. Start at the center of the lens and move outwards with the squeege.

    Step Five:
Repeat the above mentioned steps for the remainder of the lenses you are applying the tint film to. If the tint becomes misaligned, you may peel it up and re-apply it.

    Things To Remember:
Small air bubbles, minor scratches, and/or haziness will disappear after tint settles and warms up.
You can maintain the appearance of the tint after installation by waxing every so often.
Tints are for show and off-road use only. Check local laws before installation.
The installation process is the same for all vinyl tint products we offer. If you have further questions about the tint installation process, please feel free to contact us:sales@stangmods.com
